LODGING

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Tiburton House, 900 Tiburton Ave., Los Angeles (Westwood, 310-794-0151), near the UCLA campus, for the nights of Thursday through Saturday, April 26-28. The cost is $95 per night, plus tax. To encourage attendance by graduate students, postdocs, and independent scholars, double-occupancy rooms will be available at a subsidized rate of $30 per person per night. (Single-occupancy, or occupancy with a non-participant, is possible at $60 per room per night.) If you wish to reserve a room, we ask that you to do so through us. Please mark with an x:

If you wish to reserve a room for any or all of the three nights, we MUST receive your reservation by TUESDAY, APRIL 17. Confirmation by e-mail is fine. You will not have to pay until checking out, but we must know numbers by April 17.


TRAVEL

Graduate students, postdocs, and independent scholars coming from outside the area may be eligible for a travel subsidy. Contact Cathy Carson <clcarson@socrates.berkeley.edu> as soon as possible.

Location: The closest airport is Los Angeles International. The hotel is located in Westwood near the UCLA campus. Friday's program will be held off-campus at the Clark Library; see http://www.humnet.ucla.edu/humnet/clarklib/. On Friday a van will take participants between the hotel and the site. Saturday's program will be held on the UCLA campus, in 314 Royce Hall. Sunday morning's program will be in the History Division of the Louise Darling Biomedical Library at UCLA's Center for the Health Sciences on campus.
